The Battle of the Bricks comes from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one of the most historic tracks in all of motorsports before heading to Atlanta for the championship race next month. This is one last opportunity for drivers to collect points, build momentum and set the stage for not only a championship race win, but a season overall points win as well. Heading into this race, the team at the top of the leaderboard is Ricky Taylor and Felipe Albuquerque (2,171 points) both sitting at the top of the standings for Wayne Taylor Racing driving Acura’s.

Behind them in the standings are Alexander Sims and Pipo Derani of Whelen Engineering Cadillac Racing with (2,157 points) and Nick Yelloly and Connor De Phillippi for BMW M Team RLL with (2,098 points).

In qualifying for the race today, Matt Campbell and Felipe Nasir of Porsche Penske Motorsports had the fastest time. They look to use that momentum heading into the race today to pick up a huge win before the championship race next week.

Taylor and Albuquerque qualified fifth, while Sims and Derani came in eighth. The top two teams will look to weave their way through the field for a win today to add to their points leads over the rest of the drivers this season.
